Ten Traits

Festival of Lights, Deepaavali (Diwaali), joyfully celebrated by all Indians (those in India as well as abroad, including those of Indian origin) world over. The Festival is mythologically said to be significant for various reasons:
      1.The day of emergence of Lakshmi (the Goddess of wealth and prosperity), during the churning of the Milky Ocean. 
2.The day after the slaying of demon Narakasura by the Divine Couple of Brindavan.
3.The day Lord Raama, along with Sita and Lakshmana, returned to Ayodhya, after vanquishing Raavana.
4.Also the day celebrated by Jains as the day of Nirvana of Mahavira, Founder of Jainism.
5.Also by Arya Samaajists as the day their Founder Dayanand Saraswati attained Nirvana.

And perhaps some other significances also.  Mirth and merrriment, get-togethers and sweets, entertainments, frolic and fun, and finally the dark night dazzling with lights and fire-crackers, apart from their deafening sounds! Well, have a wonderful Happy Diwaali !

      Now, regarding the topic of today. Everyone desires happiness and success in life. It has been said that Leaders and successful people, in all walks of life, have Ten Traits which when combined, can turn dreams into a reality !

      1. How you think is everything. Always be positive. Think success, not failure.  Beware of a negative environment.
      2. Decide upon your true dreams and goals. Write down your specific goals, and develop a plan to reach them.
      3. Take action. Goals are nothing without action. Be not afraid to get started. Just do it.
      4. Never stop learning. Go back to school or read books. Get training and acquire kills.
      5. Be persistent and work hard. Success is a marathon, not a sprint. Never give up. 
      6. Learn to analyze details. Get all facts and all input. Learn from your mistakes.
      7. Focus your time and money. Do not let other people or things distract you.
      8. Be not afraid to innovate. Be different. Following the herd is sure way to mediocrity.
      9. Deal and communicate with people effectively. Know that no person is an island. Learn to understand and motivate others.
      10. Be honest and dependable. Take responsibility. Otherwise, all the above nine would not matter !
